Funerals
Beautiful melodies played on The Great Highland Bagpipe are a wonderful
tribute to a loved one.
A professional service:
Each funeral is approached with the reverence, and dignity it deserves
and I provide a professional service and a personal tribute carefully
considered and tailored to your needs.
Selection of Music
There are many lovely Scottish airs to choose from; here are my suggestions:
-
| Leading the cortège |
Rowan Tree |
 |
| Playing the Coffin into the chapel |
Oft' in the Stilly Night |
| After the Committal Service |
My Home |
| (Four 4 tunes should be selected) |
Mist Covered Mountains |
| Sky Boat Song |
| Minglay Boat Song |
| Amazing Grace |
| Flower of Scotland |
| Dark Island |
| Flowers of the Forest |
| Final Lament |
MacCrimmon's Sweetheart. This tune is a Piobaireachd* (the
classical music of the Great Highland Bagpipe) written c1610 and
I play this delightful tune whilst walking slowly away the music
fading into the distance - a lovely and moving conclusion.
* Piobaireachd is pronounced "pee-brock"
